My name is Kathy Bouchard and I live in Scarborough. I grew up in Auburn and have spent most of my adult life in the Greater Portland area.

I was elected to the State Committee in 2016. In addition to participating in state committee meetings, I also attend town meetings, county meetings and political activist events. I collected signatures for Ranked Choice Voting. I write letters to the editor (https://www.pressherald.com/2020/02/15/letter-to-the-editor-important-votes-coming-up-at-maine-primaries-caucuses/), drive local candidates door-to-door and canvass to help get out the vote. I was asked to be in charge of fundraising for the second time at our local caucus. I hope to be reelected as a State Committee member.

I was a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the State Convention in Lewiston in 2016. I trust Bernie Sanders to work in the best interests of the people and not be beholden to big money contributors and corporations. I like his campaign’s sincerity: “Not me, US”. I am running to be a delegate for Bernie Sanders again at our State Convention in Bangor and, hopefully, at the National Convention in Milwaukee.

I believe that we accomplish goals by working together. No matter whom you support, we must come together to get out the vote and do our part to defeat the corruption that is taking over our democracy.

I am a decades-long progressive political activist, as well as an attorney, living in Bar Harbor. I was a Bernie delegate to the Maine Democratic State Convention in 2016, chosen at the Bar Harbor caucus. Born in Brooklyn (in Bernie's neighborhood!), I went to college and grad school in Massachusetts, NYC and LA. In the late seventies and early eighties, I worked for Tom Hayden during his first successful election to the California State Legislature. In 1981, I was arrested twice at Diablo Canyon during the blockades at the nuclear power plant, but was never taken to trial. In 1983, I left California for New Hampshire to work on Gary Hart's first presidential campaign, running the NH phone banks and then organizing for Hart in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Tennessee and California, and I was one of Hart's staff members at the 1984 Democratic State Convention in San Francisco. Remaining in SF for the next 14 years, I worked for a progressive member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and worked on numerous local Democratic campaigns. I also went to law school during that time. In 1998, my young son and I left California for Maine, which I had visited as a child, ending up on Mt. Desert Island. Remembering my Diablo Canyon protests and arrests, I chose to represent many protesters at various actions in Maine, including Earth First members staging an action at the Governor's mansion, local activists protesting tree cutting in Warren by the Dept. of Transportation, peace activists sitting in at Collins' and Snowes' offices and, most notably, representing the activists who regularly protest the christening of war ships at Bath Iron works. I also represented members of Occupy Maine in 2012 litigation in Federal court. I am a decades-long member of the National Lawyers Guild and have litigated civil liberties actions alongside the Maine ACLU. I am currently running for an open seat in the Maine State Legislature from the towns of Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert and Lamoine and, if elected, intend to work on criminal justice issues, including bail reform, as well as transportation issues in rural Maine. I'm also the Chair of the Maine Democratic Party Grievance Committee. I have chosen to support Bernie in 2016, and now, because it is his platform that most clearly conforms with the values that I have espoused and worked for my entire adult life. I humbly ask that you vote for me as a Bernie delegate to the national convention, based on my decades of progressive activism in support of peace, justice and equality.

I am a life-long progressive political activist. In 2016 I was a Sanders delegate to the Democratic National Convention. As a delegate I became aware that the Maine Democratic Party was not honoring the results of the elections for national delegates made at the Maine Democratic Convention but was adding and removing Sanders delegates as they chose. I filed a challenge to this violation of fair elections with the Democratic National Committee - and won, keeping intact the delegation properly chosen by Maine Democrats. (This is 100% true. If you didn't know about it feel free to ask me for details. With new MDP leadership I do not expect similar problems this time.) I am a member of the Maine Democratic State Committee where I promote progressive values, and have proposed many rules changes that have been approved by Maine Democrats, making the Maine Democratic Party fairer. I regularly participate in the Cumberland County Democratic Committee. I am a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, the ACLU, the National Lawyers Guild, NAACP and many other progressive groups, and have worked for single-payer health care, LGBTQ+ equality, peace, environmental protections, etc . I encourage people to get involved in politics and do training so they'll know how to do things for themselves. In the picture I am the guy with the beard and the Bernie Beer hat. The one holding the microphone is some old guy from Vermont who no one likes. I would like to again be a national delegate for real progressive values but won't take it personally if Sanders Democrats choose someone else. Not me: US!! (And my last name really is Berner. I've been a Berner from the day I was born!)

I am a life-long Democratic who was born and raised in Biddeford, Maine. Currently, I am enrolled for a double major undergraduate degree in Politics and History at Saint Anselm College and I am in my Junior Year.

Currently, while attending Saint Anselm College, I have been a Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassador. This has granted me the opportunities to be directly involved with the New Hampshire Primaries. I have met most presidential candidates and have ran many events for them. In addition to meeting these individuals, I have met many news anchors, non-presidential politicians, and have been on live television many times!

I have been live on CNN, C-Span, and ABC News, often asking questions or introducing presidential candidates/other politicians as they come to my school. Saint Anselm College hosted the ABC News Presidential Debates, which I attended. In addition to being a Student Ambassador, I am about to become the President of the International Relations Club.

This year, I also had the opportunity to work as a campaign intern for Senator Amy Klobuchar's Presidential Campaign. Our campaign helped her get 3rd in New Hampshire, surpassing expectations. She was considered an underdog, "dark horse" candidate.

I also was an employee of MSNBC News, during a period of this year, helping cover the New Hampshire Primaries. On the side of politics, I am a Cross-Country athlete.

I am trying to participate in the DNC because I think that it could serve a crucial step in my political career. My intention, if I receive a position, is to vote for Senator Klobuchar and if her campaign seizes I will most likely pledge to vote for Mayor Pete of VP Joe Biden.

Bernie Sanders is the candidate I have been waiting for my entire life. After hearing him in July 2015 in Portland, ME, and hearing Diane Russell's nomination speech at the convention in 2016, I vowed to continue to work for Bernie and have for the last four years.

I am a life-long progressive activist, working primarily on peace and environmental issues. I have worked for progressive candidates and ballot measures in Maine (and California) since 1984. I am especially proud of my work on the ranked choice initiative and with local young Democrats. I am a member of the Executive Committee of the Knox County Democrats and serve as the Events Chair. I also served as a Knox County representative to the platform committee of the state party.

My entire work life I have advocated for poor, abused, and immigrant populations, and especially at-risk youth. I was the Executive Director of Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County, co-founder and Director of the Community Mediation Program in Santa Barbara, and founder and Director of City at Peace - Santa Barbara, a year-long after school program teaching restorative justice and non-violent conflict resolution through story-telling and original theater. There are over 500 alumni of this program, many of whom I am still in touch with today. I love working with teenagers and young adults. In May of 2018, I coordinated a program with the Maine Teen Advocacy Coalition to hold a youth-led gubernatorial forum with all seven candidates, including our current Governor, in attendance. Again in the fall of 2019, we held a youth-led Democratic senatorial forum attended by all four candidates. Both forums drew large, diverse audiences at Camden Hills' Strom auditorium.

I trained extensively in restorative justice at Eastern Mennonite University and taught a course in restorative justice at the Santa Barbara College of Law. I am also a trained facilitator with Alternatives to Violence, volunteering in the Maine State prison. Since moving permanently to Maine 11 years ago, I have also volunteered with the Restorative Justice Project of the Midcoast both as a mentor and facilitator of restorative circles, and helped elect our current progressive District Attorney.

I am passionate about peacemaking and fighting our most pressing problem as humans --the threat of global warming. I believe that Bernie has the very best plan for both of these issues and I believe in our youth! I am 100% committed to supporting Bernie Sanders, and would appreciate your support. I live in Owls Head.

Hello! My name is Joshua Jenkins and I'm running to be a national delegate in CD1. I am 36 years old, I live in Readfield, and I am in my sixth year at Gardiner Area High School where I teach Literature, Philosophy, and Film Studies. I am a lifelong Democrat as well as a member of the Kennebec County Dems and I emphatically support Senator Bernie Sanders in this election cycle.

Born and raised in Gardiner and Winthrop, Maine, I earned my M.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing at Emerson College in Boston before returning home to complete my M.A. in Education at the University of Southern Maine. I am a proud member of the Maine Education Association union and am a staunch advocate for union organizing and membership.

I'm running for a national delegate position because I believe we are at a potentially transformative moment not only for the Democratic Party but for the country as a whole. We have a unique opportunity to offer a starkly different vision of what this country can be to everyone across this great country, one that advocates without hesitation for the poor and working class people of this country, a calling that should always be at the forefront of the Democratic Party's vision. With Senator Bernie Sanders leading the party, I have no doubt that we will defeat Donald Trump and take a huge step in the direction our party once occupied without question: as the party of justice for all. I'm excited about the opportunity to stand for my fellow Mainers in Milwaukee and be a part of history.

If you'd like to talk further about organizing in and around Kennebec County, please don't hesitate to reach out. I can be reached at: joshuatjenkins@gmail.com

Greetings from Downeast! My name is Bonnie Cohen. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. I’m certified in Human Resource Management and work as an HR Consultant for my husband’s veterinary practice.

As a retired educator, spouse, mother, and grandmother of three, I draw on my deep concern for the health and wellbeing of my family, community, State, and country as motivation for becoming a National Delegate for the Second Congressional District. I believe we’re at a critical juncture for effecting a change in presidential leadership to reestablish our country’s pride, integrity, and cohesiveness. With your support and the support of the Democratic Party, the Bloomberg Team will get it done.

I joined the Bloomberg Team after giving serious consideration to each of the formidable candidates who stepped up to take on Donald Trump. Though I am profoundly grateful to all of them, Mr. Bloomberg stands out as the candidate who can not only unseat Trump but reverse the damage Trump has caused. Whether the issue is climate change, foreign policy, immigration, healthcare, gun violence or the economy, Mr. Bloomberg is the candidate who will lead alongside the talented people with whom he surrounds himself to get this hard work done.

The call to action has never seemed more urgent to me. Please support my petition to represent the good people of Maine as a National Delegate of the Second Congressional District.

Storme is a 29-year-old Registered Nurse in Augusta, where he helps people in psychiatric crisis get well so they may return to their lives and loved ones. Before this, he worked as a certified nursing assistant at a dementia unit in Bangor and a special education teacher at the New England Center for children. Storme is a graduate and former student-athlete form Umaine Orono and UMaine Fort Kent.

Throughout Storme’s career and civic engagement his focus has been to help the most vulnerable in our community — whether that was as an educator, or a healthcare provider doing the hard work we all know needs to be done but others might prefer to avoid. Storme wants to be a presidential elector because he is committed to the #NotMeUs movement and wants to ensure the will of Mainers is followed at the convention in Milwaukee.

As a 53-year-old biracial woman of working class white and African American heritage, I have an intimate understanding of the strength diversity brings to our communities and country, and the critical need to bridge the false divides we have been led to believe exist between us.

Most of my professional life has been in the health care field as a respite provider for families of children with special needs, a residential counselor for homeless teens, a Planned Parenthood Counselor, and as a midwife. I earned my Masters in Public Health at Columbia University, and it was during my 14 years of service with the federal Centers for Disease Control that I learned of Senator Sanders, due to his phenomenal efforts on health care and his focus on all forms of justice.

I caucused for Bernie in 2016, have been an administrator of and remain active in Local Berniecrats Maine (LBM), was the admin for Maine Women for Bernie in 2015/16, and currently manage Twitter pages for LBM and national Women for Bernie. I have helped organize two Barnstorms for Bernie in Bangor and Knox County, organized a honk-and-wave in Rockland, and assist Maine’s campaign director with organizing town captains across the state and other needs. In Maine’s 2018 midterm elections, I devoted my energy to supporting efforts to flip the Maine Senate.

I support Bernie because his platform holds the strongest promise to fixing the deep crises we are facing; because he will motivate the large voter turnout we need to win the general election; and because of the massive importance of electing leadership entirely funded by regular people vs. large corporations. To me, this is the national manifestation of Maine’s Clean Elections spirit. I also support him because I believe he will be an effective President by putting together a strong cabinet and administration representative of diverse Americans, and because his track record of amendments and bills submitted and passed shows his ability to work effectively with Congressmembers of all party affiliations.

I am 100% committed to supporting Bernie Sanders as a delegate and appreciate your support. I live in South Thomaston.
